Community Outreach
Although we zealots may be obsessed with our personal oral care, we still find plenty of time to reach out and promote oral health to others. This page highlights some of the programs that we work with and in some cases, how you too can get involved.

What is it? February 1, 2008, is nationally recognized by the American Dental Association as the 6th annual Give Kids a Smile Day® (GKAS), a wake-up call regarding the poor state of pediatric dental care across America. For the first Friday every February, National Children’s Dental Health Month, dentists and hygienists all across the county donate their time and expertise to help kids in need. The Give Kids A Smile® program started in February of 2002 and has since grown enormously. In 2007, over 50,000 volunteers provided free dental care to over 750,000 children across the country. |

How is DenTek involved?
This year, DenTek is delighted to sponsor the event and has donated 150,000 individually wrapped Fun Flossers for the Sullilvan Schein kits that are offered to participating programs. Fun Flossers’ ergonomic design and Fluoride coated floss make it easy for kids to maintain a healthy smile between dentist visits. DenTek joins corporate sponsors Colgate®, Sullivan Schein®, and DEXIS®.
